Overview
The Bank Module in CustomBooks™ provides the tools you need to manage bank and credit card transactions, monitor account activity, record payments and deposits, and reconcile your accounts.
The Bank Module is organized into four main areas:
- Documents
- Reports
- Tools
- Settings
Documents
The Documents section allows you to record and manage transactions that affect your bank and credit card accounts.
- Deposits – Record deposits received into your bank accounts.
- Payments – Record payments made from your bank accounts.
- Bank Transfers – Transfer funds between bank accounts.
- Reconciliations – Reconcile your bank and credit card accounts against your financial institution's records.
Reports
The Reports section provides reports for reviewing bank activity, payments, and account balances.
- Bank and Credit Card Transactions – Review transactions recorded for your bank and credit card accounts.
- Vendor Payments – Review payments made to vendors.
- Payment Register – View and review payment transactions.
- Bank Account Balances – Review balances for your bank accounts.
- Additional Reports – Access other reports related to banking and payment activity.
The Tools section provides features that help you manage and automate bank transaction processing.
- Cloud Banking – Connect your financial institutions and retrieve bank transactions for review and processing.
- Register – View and manage transactions associated with a bank or credit card account.
- Merchant Name–Company Mapping – Map merchant names from bank transactions to companies in CustomBooks™.
- Categorization Rules – Create rules that automatically categorize imported bank transactions based on defined criteria.
Settings
The Settings section contains configuration options for managing your bank-related preferences.
- Bank Settings – Configure settings that control how banking features operate in CustomBooks™.
