Currencies in CustomBooks™
CustomBooks™ supports multiple currencies, with USD set as the default. If you only deal in USD, no further changes are required. However, if you conduct transactions internationally, you may need to enable and configure additional currencies.
Multi-currencies
Turning on the Multi-currency feature allow the use of multiple currencies in transactions. Note: Once the Multi-currency feature is enabled and a new currency is added, it cannot be disabled.
To use multiple currencies, enable the Multi-currency feature in the Admin Panel:
- Navigate to Admin Panel > General Settings.
- Check the box for Multi-currency.

Viewing Available Currencies
To view the list of available currencies:
- Navigate to Lists > Currencies.

Adding a New Currency
To add a new currency:
- Navigate to Lists > Currencies.
- Click Create > New.
- Enter the currency details, including the Description, Symbol, Numeric code, and Alphabetic code (as per ISO 4217).
- Optionally, check Auto-update exchange rates.
- Assign accounts for A/R, A/P, Customer Prepayments, and Vendor Prepayments.
- Click Save or Save and Close.
