We are pleased to announce the availability of CustomBooks™ Release Labrador 2025.12.11. This release includes several key improvements to enhance your experience with Journal Entries, Inventory, and Storage.
Improvements
Journal Entry: Reverse
- Reversing Journal Entries are now easier to manage and are prominently depicted in the header section of the Journal Entry. If the Journal Entry being created should be reversed, select this new checkbox and enter the reversal date. Upon save, the reversal will be created and saved using the date specified. Both the original and the reversal will have a banner across the top alerting that it is part of a reversal, and are also strung together in the Transactions chain. As a reminder, the reversal will post using the debits and credits listed when the document is saved; if the original document later needs to be edited, please update the reversal appropriately.

Inventory: Out of Order COGS
- To assist users' inventory management, a warning message now displays when inventory documents such as Shipments, Item Receipts, etc., are posted out of order. The warning message will alert to the sequential documents in the chain, so that they can be reposted after the new document saves. For additional information on inventory workflows, please see the Knowledge Base articles for FIFO and Weighted Average costing methods.
File Storage
- The application will now check the storage limit remaining for the account during the generation of shipping labels. Users will be notified if a newly generated shipping label will cause them to exceed the storage limit threshold.
