CustomBooks™ Setup Wizard: Quick and Efficient Account Onboarding
The CustomBooks™ Setup Wizard is a tool designed to simplify the process of onboarding new accounts. From company information, enabling features, setting up the chart of accounts, and other relevant details for your account, this tool eliminates the tedious task of navigating from setting to setting, saving you valuable time.
Whether you’re a small business owner, an accountant, or a financial professional, this wizard streamlines the initial setup, ensuring that your account is configured correctly from the start.

Setup Summary
The Setup Wizard must be completed, it’s a requirement for activating your account. By guiding you through each step, it eliminates the need for manual navigation through settings, saving time and reducing the potential for errors. Completing the Setup Wizard is the final step in ensuring that your account is ready to support your business operations effectively.
Setup Delegation
When you first login, the Setup Wizard window will popup. The welcome page offers the subscription owner the option to either proceed with the setup or invite another user/s and set them up as an administrator, to complete the Setup Wizard.
The Support User can also be enabled from the welcome page. This will give the support team an access to the account for quick answers to your questions and assistance.
Enter your company information: company type, company name, taxation details, addresses and contact information.
Logo
Provides the option to upload a company logo, enhancing brand recognition. The allowed logo formats are *.bmp, *.jpeg, *.gif, *.jpg, and *.png. For optimal logo presentation, use 167 x 100 pixels.
Currency Setup: Multi-currency and Reporting Currency
Enables the multi-currency feature for businesses operating with multiple currencies.
Sales and Purchases Settings
Allows enabling of various sales and purchases functionalities, including sales tax, multi-locations, assemblies, item receipts, and shipments.
Measurements
Assigns default Units of Measure (UoM) for items, sets price decimals, and determines quantity precision.
Accounting and Chart of Accounts Code Settings: Flexibility in Accounting
Users can opt to use account codes beyond the GAAP standard numerical range, include alphabetical and special characters, and extend the code limit.
Setup Chart of Accounts
Offers the flexibility to use the CustomBooks™ default chart of accounts, import your own CoA from a file, or import from another client account.
Summary, Review and Important Next Steps
Before completing the setup, users can review and edit all entered information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Once successfully completed the Setup Wizard, hitting the Process button, you'll be directed to the Review and Next Steps window. The Review and Important Next Steps window provides essential guidance for optimizing your experience with CustomBooks™. Here’s what you’ll find:
