Creating company-specific print form templates in CustomBooks™

How to create a Company (Customer/Vendor) specific print template

Overview

Company-specific print templates in CustomBooks™ allow you to assign a unique document layout to an individual customer or vendor. This means you can customize invoices, bills, statements, or other documents for a specific company without affecting your default or other shared templates.

This feature is especially useful when certain customers or vendors require specific formatting, branding, notes, or compliance-related details on their documents.

Each of these company-specific templates can:
  1. Have one or more companies for which it is available.
  2. Can be limited for use to the creator of the template, or anyone in your account.
  3. Changes can be locked down so that only the creator or anyone in your company with template editing permissions can edit.

Creating a company-specific template

  1. Create a custom print form template as usual. Remember to name the template with the company name for which it is customized.
  2. Make the specific changes that you'd like for the individual company.
  3. Click the Availability tab.
  4. In the Companies section, click the Add button.
  5. Select the companies for which this template will be available.
  6. Complete the necessary work on your template and Save and Close.
The new template will appear on the appropriate document written for those companies.
