Troubleshooting: Fixing Printing Errors by Allowing Pop-ups

How to Allow Pop-ups and Redirects for CustomBooks™


Printing may trigger a browser error if your pop-up window is blocked. If this happens, follow the steps below to either disable your browser's pop-up blocker or allow pop-ups and redirects for custombooks.com.

In Google Chrome:

  1. How to allow a specific site (custombooks.com) to send pop-ups and use redirects (Customised Behaviour):
    1. Click the Customize and control Google Chrome button (the three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of the browser.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. In the search box at the top of the Settings page, type "pop-ups" and select Site Settings.
    4. Scroll down and click on Pop-ups and redirects.
    5. Under the Customised behaviours section, click the Add button next to Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects.
    6. Enter custombooks.com into the field and click Add.



  2. How to allow ALL sites to send pop-ups and redirects by default (Default Behaviour):
    1. Click the Customize and control Google Chrome button (the three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of the browser.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. In the search box at the top of the Settings page, type "pop-ups" and select Site Settings.
    4. Scroll down and click on Pop-ups and redirects.
    5. Under the Default behaviour section, select Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects.



In Safari:

  1. How to allow pop-ups for the custombooks.com domain:
    1. Open the Safari menu in the top menu bar and choose Settings (or Preferences on older macOS versions)
    2. Navigate to the Websites tab and select Pop-up Windows from the left-hand sidebar.
    3. In the Configured Websites list, locate custombooks.com and change its dropdown menu selection to Allow.



  2. If you prefer to allow pop-ups on all websites by default, go to the When visiting other websites dropdown menu at the bottom right of the page and choose Allow.

In Microsoft Edge

  1. How to allow a specific site (custombooks.com) to send pop-ups and use redirects (Customised Behaviour):
    1. Click the Settings and more button (the three horizontal dots) in the top-right corner of Microsoft Edge.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. In the search box at the top of the Settings page, type "pop-ups" and select Pop-ups and redirects from the search results.
    4. Under the Customised behavious section, click the Add Site button next to Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects.
    5. Enter custombooks.com into the site field and click Add.



  2. How to allow ALL sites to send pop-ups and redirects by default (Default Behaviour):
    1. Click the Settings and more button (the three horizontal dots) in the top-right corner of Microsoft Edge.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. In the search box at the top of the Settings page, type "pop-ups" and select Pop-ups and redirects.
    4. Toggle off the switch next to Blocked (recommended) to allow pop-ups and redirects globally by default.



In Mozilla Firefox:

  1. How to allow a specific site (custombooks.com) to open pop-ups and use redirects (Customised Behaviour):
    1. Click the Open application menu button (the three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner of the browser.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. In the search box at the top of the Settings page, type "pop-ups" and scroll down to the Permissions section.
    4. Click the Manage Exceptions button.
    5. Type custombooks.com into the Address of website field and click Allow.
    6. Click Save Changes.



  2. How to allow ALL sites to send pop-ups and redirects by default (Default Behaviour):
    1. Click the Open application menu button (the three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner of the browser.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. In the search box at the top of the Settings page, type "pop-ups" and scroll down to the Permissions section.
    4. Uncheck the box Block pup-ups and third-party redirects to display pop-ups globally by default.
