Locations

Locations are places where your inventory is stored. You can use locations to track your inventory at physical locations that are within your company or that belong to a vendor. When creating locations, think about all of the places your inventory items might be during the time that they are under your ownership. For each of these physical locations, you might want to create a location in CustomBooks™.

Locations may have sub-locations to multiple levels. For example, you may have Warehouse #1 as a location with Row 1, Rack 1, Row 1 Rack 2 etc as sub-locations within Warehouse #1.

To create a new Location:

  1. Navigate to Inventory â†’ Locations.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Type the name of the location.
  4. Enter the Address Information.
  5. Click Save and Close.

More information about locations may be found in the Inventory Multi-locations document, which also describes how to create and move sub-locations.
