Updating Test Company/Sandbox to Live Data

The Sandbox/Test Company


With each paid account CustomBooks™ offer you a second account that can be used for testing, training or just checking out new features without having to worry about affecting your live account. This “Test Company” or “Sandbox” is provided at no cost and can be used right away.

How to Update the Sandbox/Test Account to Live Data?


1. On the CustomBooks™ Home Page, click Test Company. If it's your first time to access Test Company/Sandbox it will take time to update (approximately 15-30 minutes). If you already accessed it before, just click Continue button to proceed.






2. A new tab will open showing your Test Company/Sandbox. You can identify the difference between a LIVE account and a SANDBOX account by looking at the top-left corner of the screen where it says "***Test Company/Sandbox***" and the Test Company/Sandbox has a different color to differentiate from your real company at glance.

From the Test Account/Sandbox Home Page, Click the "Reset from your Live Account" button and the Test Company/Sandbox will copy all of your data from your Live account.




3. You'll get the message below. Click Continue to proceed.
NOTE: Updating the Test Company/Sandbox to live data will PERMANENTLY ERASE ALL of your Test Company/Sandbox data and replace it with the data from your live account.
  1. You and any other users logged in to the Test Company/Sandbox will be immediately logged out.
  2. The process may take up to 30 minutes or more depending on the size of your live data.
  3. You'll be notified by email when the new Test Company/Sandbox is ready for use.

      


 4. Wait for a notification through email. You'll receive an email as soon as the Test Company/Sandbox is ready to use.
