Bank

The Bank tab on the CustomBooks™ Homepage provides an overview of your Bank GL accounts and their banking information. From this screen, you can review account balances, compare bank balances with the balances recorded in CustomBooks™, view transaction counts, and access bank accounts.

To access the Bank section:

  1. Go to the Homepage.
  2. Select Bank from the navigation tabs at the top of the page.

Bank Homepage Layout

The Bank page is divided into two main areas:

  • Cash Flow Graph – Displays banking activity for the selected bank account.
  • Bank GL Account List – Displays your Bank GL accounts and related account information.

  1. Cash Flow Graph

The left side of the Bank page displays a graph for the currently selected bank account.

The graph provides a visual representation of the account's:

    • Deposits
    • Payments

A legend at the bottom of the graph identifies the two types of activity. The graph can help you review the flow of money into and out of the selected bank account.

The selected bank account is displayed above the graph.

  1. Bank Account List

The right side of the Bank page displays the Bank GL accounts in CustomBooks™.

For each account, you can view information such as:

    • Bank Account – Displays the name or description of the Bank GL account. Double-clicking on the Bank Account field will open up Cloud Banking screen for the selected bank.
    • Bank Balance – Displays the balance reported by the connected financial institution.
    • In CustomBooks – Displays the corresponding balance recorded in CustomBooks™.
    • Updated on / Trxs count – Displays when the account was last updated (connected) and the number of transactions associated with the account.

This allows you to compare the balance reported by your bank with the balance currently recorded in CustomBooks™.

Note: The bank balance and the balance recorded In CustomBooks may differ. The Bank page displays both values so you can compare the information from your financial institution with the corresponding balance in CustomBooks™.

Account Update Information

The account list displays the date the bank account was last updated/connected. Depending on the account's connection status, the account may also indicate that it has Not updated/not connected.

The transaction count is displayed alongside the update information, allowing you to see the number of transactions associated with each connected account.

Search Bank Accounts

The Search field in the upper-right corner allows you to search for a specific bank account.

This can be useful when multiple bank accounts are connected and you need to quickly locate a particular account.

Bank Account Tools

The Bank page includes several tools above the account list. These may include options to:

      • Refresh the displayed banking information.
      • Sort the bank account list.
      • Output List to display bank account information in Spreadsheet or Text Document format, which can then be saved or printed.

Use these tools to update, organize, or print the information shown on the Bank page.

Connect Another Account

The Connect another account button at the bottom of the Bank page allows you to connect an additional bank account to CustomBooks™.

Select Connect another account when you need to add another financial institution or bank account to your Cloud Banking setup.
