Enabling AvaTax


Enable Avatax Sales Tax in CustomBooks™.

      1. Navigate to Quick Menu → Settings → Sales Tax.
      2. Check the Yes checkbox next to Do you charge Sales Tax?
      3. Choose Avalara as the Sales Tax Calculation Method.
      4. Enter your Avalara account number and network key. See Obtaining an Avalara account for more information. In the Network URL field enter https://avatax.avalara.net/
      5. Enter the company ID given to you when you enrolled.
      6. Enter Default Tax codes for Shipping and Miscellaneous items if desired (see Adding Tax Codes below).
