Admin Tools: Beta Preview

Overview

The Beta Preview section in CustomBooks™ provides access to features that are currently under active development. These features are available for early testing and evaluation before being fully released. Beta features allow users to explore new functionality while helping improve the system through real-world usage and feedback.

Because Beta Preview features are still being finalized, users may experience performance or functionality limitations while using them.

Beta Disclaimer

CustomBooks™ is continuously evolving, and Beta Preview features are released to allow testing of new capabilities. While core functionality is implemented, issues may still exist during this testing phase.

When using Beta Preview features, users should be aware that the system may experience:
  1. Unexpected crashes
  2. Incorrect values
  3. Unexpected visual artifacts
By enabling or using Beta Preview features, users acknowledge that issues may occur and updates may be released without prior notice.

Accessing Beta Preview Settings

To access Beta Preview features:
  1. Navigate to Admin Panel
  2. Select Beta Preview
  3. Enable or disable available Beta features as needed

Available Beta Preview Features

  1. Messaging and Conversations
    - This feature allows users to communicate with other users in CustomBooks™ through chat messages and video conference calls. When enabled, users may message other users in the company or meet them via video conference call within the system. Users will also receive message notifications when the application is closed.

  2. Auto-Assembly
    - The Auto-Assembly feature helps automate the process of building assembled items or products within inventory workflows.

  3. Default Auto-Assembly Method
    - Users can select how assemblies are processed. The available method shown includes:
    1. Subassemblies first – The system builds subcomponents before completing the main assembly item. This helps improve assembly accuracy and ensures that required component items are properly built in sequence.
    2. Materials Only - The system builds the finished assembly by consuming only the raw materials, without automatically building the subassemblies as separate items.

  4. Cloud Commerce
    - This feature enables Cloud Commerce functionality, allowing integration and synchronization between CustomBooks™ and connected commerce platforms or applications (ShipStation).
